Introduction (START HERE)

After orbiting around the network of the local music scene here in Bay County, Florida for about 2 years, I decided to start a blog about it. I plan on making a chronicle of the local happenings and my experiences. I will review venues and bands, local and national, that perform in our area. I also plan on featuring local musicians from time to time. I am doing some research on the appropriate posting frequency. Comments or suggestions are welcome! Stir up that MONKEYDUST! "Come to The Ghetto Palace tonight."  I have been wanting to revisit this unique venue since my first visit here as a spectator.  It is another place in my travels that is hard to explain the location of.  Even the GPS in my wife's Mustang had trouble finding it the first time. I will remember you, your silhouette will charge the view, of distance.......atmosphere.....-Yes I am fairly active on social media and I have joined many groups on facebook.  One of these is called "Music of the Florida Panhandle" which seemed like a nice bunch of folks in the local music scene.  It was apparently started as a forum for drummers, but administrator duties had been handed to a bass player named Ken.  He explained that he had been fairly busy lately organizing "Battle of the Bands" type events and had recently become ill.  He asked in the forum if anyone would be interested in being made an admin of the group.  Myself and another bass player named Tom both volunteered.  Why must it ALWAYS be the bass players?  I received friend requests from both of them and accepted. You need a change... When you make that change... Don't look to see... I'm alright- Seal Let's start the week with some free thinking interaction! I shouldn't have come! I was supposed to die back there, but I didn't. It would have affected time. Don't worry.... ...that I'm not like anyone else. I love to make nonsense lyrics to instrumental music. As Seal puts it; a bad habit that Trevor his producer (and myself) share, THE INABILITY TO LET GO!!  Seeing Lars Ulrich   currently gives me a glimpse of what I will look like at 80 years old. It  doesn't detract from what I love doing... making music!
